World Bank-funded “Projet de Renforcement des Capacités Nationales du Secteur Minier et de Gestion de l’Environnement” in Burkina Faso (1998 – continuing) in two areas:
Improvements in Artisanal mining;
Feasibility study and installation of small-scale pilot mining centers;
Conducted airborne geophysical interpretation for Lero Mine in Guinea owned by Kenor AS, Oslo, Norway – (1996 – 1998);
Managed gold exploration works in volcano sedimentary rocks in Burkina Faso for Kenor AS, Oslo Norway (1996 – 1998);
Administered a budget of US $3.5 million to explore and develop prospects in Guyana, South America. The exercise covered the Croete Creek Gold – Copper deposits over which Gold reserves totaling over 2 million ounces were outlined (1993 – 1998);
Coordinated the environmental aspects of the Omai mine in Guyana after the mine experienced a dam failure and cyanide spillage in 1995;
Assisted to project-manage the construction of a 250,000-ounce-per-year Omai Gold Mine in Guyana (1989 – 1990) – contracts, supervision of civil works, equipment installation and project progress reporting;
Established the Mineral Processing section within the Guyana Geology and Mines Commission (GGMC) and coordinated demonstrations of better recovery and treatment systems to small/medium scale mining operations in Guyana (1989 – 1990);
